SHAC is a state-required committee where a team of parents, educators, few students, and community stakeholders come together to identify gaps and take actions to help learners and educators lead healthier lives. The areas of focus are nutritional, physical, and socio-emotional well being. SHAC plays an important role in communicating the connection between health and learning to school administrators, parents, and community stakeholders.
