Veterans Day Assembly Nov 9
One of our most revered traditions at Coppell Middle School West is our yearly Veteran’s Day program. This is a special day where we take time to honor and remember those who have served in our nation’s military, as well as recognizing those who are family and friends of our learners and staff.
This year’s program will be held on Friday, November 9th. We encourage you to invite your special veteran to join us!
We welcome our veterans to join us for a continental breakfast at 7:30 with a flag raising ceremony afterwards with our 6th grade classes. The assembly itself will be held shortly before 9:00 in the gym, with performances from some of our fine arts programs and a special keynote speaker.
The hospitality committee is excited about having our own Diwali Festival of Light celebration for our teachers and administration staff. Please see the link below to see if there are items you are able to help contribute for our luncheon on October 30:
Write-A-Check is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and it can only be successful if everyone takes part! Even though we have a new building- we still have items that the school needs to purchase to make certain that our kids have the best learning experience! Items on this year’s wish list include:
School programs and presentations (visiting authors, Red Ribbon week, anti-bullying campaigns, etc.)
Gifts to school (spring & fall teacher/classroom gifts, technology)
Club support/special ed/Practical Academics
Flowers for our raised flower beds/garden program
Equipment for our science labs
Microwaves for the cafeteria (replaced often with 1000+ students)
Play equipment for lunch
New cameras for the yearbook staff
Maps for social studies
More details coming soon!
CEF Give for Grants Campaign Starts Oct 22
Did you know that more than $1,078,000 in classroom grants have been awarded to CISD schools and educators since the Coppell ISD Education Foundation began in 2000?
The Coppell ISD Education Foundation's 2018 annual Give for Grants fundraising campaign is underway now, running October 22nd through November 16th. All donations $25 and above will receive a yard sign!
CMS West loves our administration and teachers—but we need EVERYONE’s help to make certain things happen. Please click here to view the current volunteer list and see where you could lend a hand. Thank you!
