Update from the Library
What is MackinVIA?
By this point in the school year, your student has completed research activities in their various classes. Have you heard your student mention MackinVIA?
MackinVIA is a digital content management system. It contains the Coppell ISD databases that provide students with reliable, trustworthy, and authoritative resources for research and learning. Students access MackinVIA using their CISD usernames and passwords. MackinVIA is both a website and an app.
Databases are an alternative to using an internet browser (such as Google) to locate information. Please view the Smore here to read a description of each database available to middle school students: https://www.smore.com/92m41

Parents, please see the list below to help throw this awesome party!
Thank you to all the parents who signed up to contribute to or volunteer at the teacher’s luncheon on Sept. 27th. The administration and staff were told who participated and asked that their appreciation be passed along. These special treats for our school could not happen without your generosity—thank you so much! If you were not able to contribute or participate this month, there will be another opportunity next month, so be on the lookout!
Would you like to make your child’s birthday extra special AND help our school at the same time?
We even celebrate summer birthdays this way!
For a $15 donation to CMSW PTO, we will place a birthday message to your child on the marquee in front of the school during his/her birthday week. This donation will go directly to benefit CMSW students through PTO's fundraising efforts. As with all donations to CMSW PTO, this donation is fully tax deductible.
Birthday messages will read "Happy Birthday student's name." The messages will be changed on Fridays. Some weeks, when school is not in session, will be double weeks.
Coppell ISD will host a grand opening celebration for the Coppell High School Ninth Grade Campus (CHS9) on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
The program and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the school at 6 p.m.. The community is invited to walk-through the school from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. CHS9 is located at 1301 Wrangler Drive in Coppell.

CISD Seeks Input for Upcoming Boundary Realignment
The CISD community is asked to visit https://goo.gl/wL68NA to share top priorities for the District’s upcoming Boundary Realignment process and provide any additional feedback that should be considered by the Board of Trustees.
CISD is undergoing Boundary Realignment for the first time in five years to accommodate growth in the southern area of the District and balance enrollment in all elementary and middle schools. The timing of Boundary Realignment to be in place for the 2019-20 school year aligns with the opening of the District’s 11th elementary school, which currently is under construction in Irving and will open in fall 2019. For more information on Boundary Realignment, visit www.coppellisd.com/realignment.
